Exercise and Nutrition Wellness Programs Offered

Emerson College offers several ongoing programs to staff and faculty focusing on exercise and nutrition.

EmersonWalks is a fun opportunity to join your colleagues for a 45-minute walk on Thursdays during the spring, summer, and fall. The alternating routes include walks to the Waterfront, Commonwealth Avenue, Charles River, and Beacon Hill. The group meets at 12:00 pm each Thursday in the front lobby of the Max Mutchnick Campus Center at 150 Boylston Street. Please contact Tricia Kennedy if you wish to be added to the Emerson Walks mailing list to receive weekly reminders.

EatRight Rewards, offered to full- and part-time staff and faculty, makes nutritious food more affordable by sourcing healthy product offers from food manufacturers and providing incentive raffles. The program educates participants on healthier food alternatives and helps reduce nutrition label confusion. For more information, go to the EatRight Rewards page.

Emerson offers on-site Weight Watchers program for staff and faculty in combination with the Department of Transportation. Weekly meetings are held on Tuesdays from 12:00 to 12:45 pm in the Department of Transportation Conference Rooms 5 and 6, on the second floor of the Transportation Building (8 Park Plaza). Sessions start throughout the year, but participants may join at any time at a pro-rated cost. Up to $150 annually may be reimbursable to employees enrolled in Emerson’s medical plans. Even if you are a WW member elsewhere, you can transfer your membership to the Emerson at-work program. Please contact Tricia Kennedy for more information.
