Upcoming Wellness at Emerson Programs

HR’s Wellness at Emerson initiative is offering two upcoming programs:

Sugar vs. Sugar Substitutes
February 27, 2017
Charles Beard Room
Little Building

Sugar sure tastes good, but is it really as unhealthy as the media would make it seem? Sugar substitutes can taste just as sweet, but are they safe? In this seminar, provided by Harvard Pilgrim Health Care, participants will learn about the pros and cons of various types of natural as well as artificial sugars. You will learn about the health effects different types of sugar have, and at the end, be able to make an informed decision about how to best sweeten (or not) your food.

Home Buying Workshop
March 15, 2017
Human Resources Conference Room
20 Park Plaza, 13th Floor

At this workshop, a representative from The Mortgage Network will discuss the climate of the current real estate market, the mortgage process, including how and why to get pre-approved, and how to best position yourself for success in a competitive bidding environment.

A representative will also be on site, by appointment, on Tuesday, March 28, for one-to-one sessions for those who are not able to attend the workshop on March 15. At these sessions, you can get answers to your personal mortgage questions, as well as a quick prequalification analysis. Click here to sign up for a one-to-one session on March 28.

Registration for the events is required. To register, or for any questions related to the program offerings, please contact Tricia Kennedy in Human Resources (tricia_kennedy@emerson.edu, 617-824-8124).
