Dear Members of the Emerson Community:

I am very pleased to tell you that we now have available online two important documents.

(1)  The college’s re-accreditation through the New England Association of Schools and Colleges is now nearly complete, and we have posted the report of the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) visiting team on Emerson College:  http://press.emerson.edu/neasc/?p=85.  You will need to log in with your Emerson user name and password to view the report.

It is a very good report, that understands and embraces our vision for the College, appreciates our accomplishments to date, and is very thoughtful in identifying areas to which we’ll want to pay particular attention going forward.

(2)  We have also posted our Strategic Plan:  http://www.emerson.edu/about-emerson/strategic-plan  At this stage, they include a high-level overview of the plan, articulating its vision, the five major strategies with overall goals, and the general process of its implementation.  Also included is an essay on the higher education context in which this plan was developed and is being carried out.  We hope you find these pages helpful, and will update them with reports on progress as we move forward.

Many thanks to all of you for your dedicated work during the re-accreditation process and your commitment to our vision for Emerson going forward.  I am proud of what we are accomplishing together.

Sincerely,

Lee Pelton
