It’s been a long time coming, but Information Technology finally has a blog. Here we will feature posts about projects we are working on, planned downtime for services (and why), special events, tutorials, workshops, and features specific to Emerson’s IT department! We’re very excited to have a place to provide a deeper look at IT, our process, and why we do some of the things we do. More importantly, we’d like to reveal a lot of things that members of the Emerson community might have no idea that we do. The trouble with IT is that we tend to be invisible — the only time you notice us is when the internet stops working. We’d like to change that, and create a new level of transparency when it comes to IT.
This blog is run primarily by Cyle Gage (Systems Developer / Architect) and Robin Hoyt (Application Specialist), though members of all IT offices may contribute at one time or another. If you have anything you’d like to hear about, or any questions about IT in general, please feel free to leave us some feedback by clicking on the IT Feedback link!
