In response to this ever-evolving landscape, Emerson’s first of its kind Master’s program in Strategic Marketing Communication prepares students to learn to take an approach to customer acquisition and retention rooted in big-picture, strategic thinking; understanding of the true nature of a brand’s relationship with its customers; fostering development of the brand’s narrative resulting from this relationship; and delivering targeted messaging through the appropriate channels.
Emerson’s Strategic Marketing Communication program teaches you how to effectively craft the stories you are passionate about by using innovative marketing strategies. The program is taught by top practitioners in the marketing and communication fields, and gives students the flexibility to pursue degrees around their schedules, with evening class offerings and just five core class requirements. Students also have the option of developing individual programs of study based on personal interests or following prescribed professional development paths ranging from brand management, web analytics, digital & experiential marketing, content creation, program management, and public relations.
This program provides students with an unparalleled opportunity to differentiate themselves in the marketplace through market simulators, real-life client campaigns, and professionally recognized certifications from companies such as Google, HubSpot, SalesForce and others.
The Strategic Marketing Communication Master’s program takes an interdisciplinary approach to understanding the development of strategy and marketing programs. By connecting liberal arts, marketing, and communications, students develop and hone their interpersonal skills, critical and strategic thinking, customer connectivity, storytelling, and planning skills to help organizations and brands tell their stories, advance their objectives, and impact their bottom lines.
