April 2019

Commencement

We look forward to celebrating the Class of 2019 on Sunday, May 12 at the Agganis Arena. We’ll be offstage handing out diplomas. We hope to see you there!

If you haven’t done so already, make sure you confirm your Commencement participation on eCommon by this Wednesday, April 24. This is also the deadline for summer graduation applications. You can ensure your name is spelled correctly on your diploma on eCommon by selecting the Student Services section, and then selecting View the status of your Commencement Participation Request. Graduate students who plan on attending their Graduate Hooding Ceremony should register their intent to participate for that in eCommon as well.

If you have questions about applying to graduate or confirming your participation, please contact the Registrar’s Office. If you have questions about the ceremony or ticketing, please visit the Commencement website.

Course Evaluations and Grade Availability

Spring grades will be viewable on eCommon Friday, May 3 at 12:00 noon ET. Students must complete all course evaluations in order to view final grades. If you have not done so, you will be prompted to complete the evaluations prior to accessing your final grades.

Incomplete Grade Changes

Did you get an incomplete grade in Fall 2018? Don’t miss the deadline to get it changed! Instructors must submit a completed Grade Change Form to the Registrar’s Office by May 3. Incomplete grades that are not updated will turn into I/F after this deadline.

Summer Course Pre-Approvals

Taking a course outside of Emerson this summer? Be sure to submit it for pre-approval via eCommon. Having a course pre-approved is the only way to guarantee that it will transfer back into Emerson, and is the only way to be sure that it will fulfill a specific requirement.
