Undergraduate Midterm Grades
Midterm grading for Spring 2017 undergraduate courses is open. Grades are due on Wednesday, March 22 at 12:00 noon ET. Please review the Midterm Grading Instructions and submit grades for any of your undergraduate students who currently have a grade of C- or lower.
If none of your undergraduates currently have a grade of C- or lower, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please be sure to note the course code and title when reporting that you have no grades to report. This email allows us to record your participation in midterm grading for the semester.
Summer and Fall Course Listings
The Summer and Fall course listings are now available. Please remind your advisees to review course restrictions and prerequisites when selecting their courses!
Summer 2017 registration opens online at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, March 13 for both undergraduate and graduate students. Students should review the Registration Information before registering.
Summer Semester Payment Policy:
- If students register from March 13–April 14: Full payment is due on April 15, 2017. If payment is not settled by the due date, course(s) will automatically be dropped. There are no exceptions.

Remember, Emerson’s online permission policies remain in effect for the summer term.

Check the registration information page to determine a student’s specific registration time.
As with any registration period, please review the Online Permission Instructions.
Last Day to Withdraw
Tuesday, April 18 is the last day for a student to withdraw from a course or from the College.
To withdraw from a course, a student must review Emerson’s Course Withdrawal Policy and submit a completed Course Withdrawal Form to the Registrar’s Office by 5:00 p.m. on April 18.
To withdraw from the College, students should review Emerson’s College Withdrawal Policy and turn in the appropriate paperwork by 5:00 p.m. on April 18.
Student Registration and Holds
If your office places holds on student accounts that prevent them from registering, you will hopefully be seeing an increase in student traffic before the registration period begins. Most registration times begin at 7:00 a.m., when many offices are unavailable to clear holds for students (see registration times for details). Please encourage students to be proactive and resolve holds ahead of time.
Dates to Remember
March 13: Summer Registration
March 22: Midterm Grades Due
March 13–24: Fall Advising
Mar 27–Apr 3: Fall Registration
Spread the Word!
The Registrar’s Office is strongly encouraging that, prior to their registration time, students:
- Resolve their holds
- Review course prerequisites and course restrictions
- Obtain online permissions
These recommendations go a long way toward minimizing registration disappointment and reducing unpleasant surprises. Any assistance in spreading the word to students would be greatly appreciated!
Fall 2017 Waitlist Deadline
Students will be able to join a waitlist for Fall courses until Wednesday, May 3. Students will not be able to join a waitlist after this date.
Waitlists will continue to function through September 1, the Friday before classes begin.
